Condannato definitivamente a 2 anni e 6 mesi per aver corrotto, nella sua qualità di manager
Fininvest (capo dei servizi fiscali del gruppo Berlusconi), alcuni ufficiali e sottufficiali della Guardia di finanza affinchè ammorbidissero le verifiche fiscali. L’inchiesta è quella aperta dal pool Mani Pulite nella primavera del 1994, in seguito alle confessioni di alcuni finanzieri a proposito di quattro tangenti da circa 100 milioni di lire ciascuna pagate dal gruppo Fininvest perché chiudessero gli occhi nei blitz tributari nelle società Mediolanum, Mondadori ed Edilnord.
